A Great Tower Defense Game If...
May 6, 2013

you figure it out. lol The tutorial is practically non-existent. However, once you play around and figure it out, you'll find that if you like tower defense games, you'll love this one. It's very challenging. You don't know what paths your enemies will take and the waves are sometimes overlapping, giving you a real challenge. It took me a little while to figure out what towers did what and that I could spend my gold in between levels to upgrade my spells and tower capabilities. If this game had a proper tutorial, it would have rocked it out of the park.

A real challenge

well as these tower shooter games go this a tough one! Fun as not too easy and one i will come back to again and again.

Addictive but difficult

The graphics are quite good, crisp and clean and very well done. The voices aren't annoying even after replaying the same level several times. The game play is tough and I would not recommend this game for a beginner. This is the first tower game in a long time where I haven't aced the first few levels. And yet, somehow, failure does not take away from the playability. Instead it becomes a true challenge and not a game stopper. It doesn't come with a tutorial or "learn the game" levels. It starts hard and gets harder. And it becomes addictive very quickly! When my trial expired just as I was beating the last wave of the level after losing it twice, I almost broke my wrist whipping out my credit card. Maybe it's just me, but this is the first tower game in a long time that isn't a "ho hum" repeat of ones that came before.

Excellent Game

By now people reading the reviews will know all about the mechanics of the game. plus the complaints that it is too hard, insufficient instruction etc etc. One player stated that he got no further than level 3 and gave up. One complaint I agree with is that the music is very very repetative so I just turn it down. Well, in my opinion the game just needs playing a few times to see what to do, Check out in "Help" what the Towers can and can't do. If you fail a level - no problem, go back and try again. This is a stratergy game and I have to admit that I am currently having a problem in killing off the flying "beasties" The game informs me and it would appear correct, that only the "rifle" tower can kill flying beasts. This appears to be true, but the shots, albeit very accurate are too slow to kill off the hordes, therefore your number of lives is reduced dramatically and even if you survive the onslaught, you fail to gain sufficient points to win 3 gold bars. There must be a way to defeat them. I just haven't found out yet!! Anyway, give it go, it's well worth the effort

Fun Tower Defense Game

BFG doesn't have enough tower defense games, and this one is addictive. Pros + Fun game play with cute characters + Good range of towers with upgrades possible plus 2 'bonus' challenges Cons - Too short (I finished ALL levels with 3 gold stars after 2 days of game play) - No tutorial level for beginners (game strategy can be easily worked out after a few test runs, so don't give up) Overall, if you love tower defense games then you will devour this. An easy purchase for me, I just wish it came with more levels.

Love this game!

I loved this game!!! I enjoy tower defense games and am used to them being somewhat difficult to learn at first. This one is no exception. It could use some explanation of the bonus maneuvers, as this isn't done as frequently in TD games-- but it was a super fun addition! My main complaint is that it was TOO SHORT!!! I am used to these types of games being much longer and I don't know why there were so few levels and little replay-ability. I finished the whole game with all three gold pieces on every level in about four hours :( But I still loved it and recommend it if you enjoy tower defense games!

loved it!

I love this game. Anyone from kids to adults can enjoy this one. I like the graphics and the weapons upgrade system, takes few levels to get used to weapons. Enemey characters are cute but strong i like the fire and the bomb weapons, they're powerfull. I'm happy that i supported the developer of this game, worth it.

I will admit that I had a hard time figuring out how to play this strategic time management game due to the lack of instructions or tutorial available. But after several lost battles I think I get it. Basically you click on an open spot to build a tower and several options pop up, you choose to build a mortar cannon tower, a rifle tower, a hatchet tower, a forge tower etc. You need to place these towers (3 to begin with) in spots that will cover the most area from invading greenskin dwarves and choose the best type of defense for that area. You must upgrade these towers when they become available and you get to build new towers when you get enough points. At the top of the screen are 3 tools to help you, the first is a target for mortar shells, place this where you need artillery to fire. The second is a target that slows down a group of invaders for a few seconds. The third is a horn that blows and I have no idea what this horn does yet, sorry. You can replay the game level as often as you want, but you have to win the battle before moving on to the next level. You earn gold bars, 1-3 that will be used to purchase upgraded weapons. I think I'm using a credit on ye addicting battle game. Enjoy!

Really great !

I have a lot of fun with this game. Last levels are really challenging, but fun to play ! I recommend this game for all TD fans and not only.

The game is really nice. I was enjoying gameplay, setting and graphics. I have to warn you that game is hard and some sequences are a big challenge. If you are a fan of TD games, you can be sure you'll have fun.
