Absolutely Gorgeous!

GAME COMPLETED SEVERAL TIMES Story: After awakening in a mysterious castle, it?s up to you to prove yourself worthy of the legendary Light In The Dark, escape the castle and save all the kingdoms. Developer: BoomZap Release Date: Feb 2010 Extras: Game Timer, Unlimited GoblinJong, Faerie Companion I am embarrassed to admit that all four times I?ve started this game I have had to resort to the walkthrough in the beginning. Later, the game seems to make more sense . After all, the story is simple enough, the problem is getting a handle on a different style of HOs. There are only a couple of HOs with lists, yet almost everything that needs doing means looking around in the location for the ?10 map pieces? etc. And many of the items are quite difficult to find, and occasionally too small. There are by far many more puzzles, but without exception they are well within my amateur grasp. The artwork is the real reason I like the games in this series. The entire Awakening series are glorious visually. They?re just so darned pretty I could spend all day happily plodding along. Now I think about that?s pretty much what I?ve just done. And by the way,who was that mysterious goblin?

Soooo Much Fun!!!

I actually purchased this game to play with my grand-daughter. However, it was so much fun, that I play it when she is not here. The storyline is full of fun and adventure, and the hidden objects are not too difficult. This is just a Fun game to play with family and friends. Not scary or creepy so the kids won't have nightmares after playing. And best of all.....You will enjoy playing it.

good game and fun

One of the better games. Just a good all around good and fun game to play.

No Professor Layton, but it's definately worth playing

Awakening: The Dreamless Castle is a puzzle game with a story that makes you want to know more. The characters are interesting, but nowhere near Layton's character depth, for those who have played the series. However, ATDC does not dissapoint when it comes to puzzles and brain-teasers. The Graphics are superb, while the music on the other hand is good, but it's not much variety. However, once you hear the theme you know that you are "back" in the castle. It gets a very high grade from me, I loved it and just beat it spending 5 hours.

Lovely and Relaxing

I love all three games in this series. Dreamless Castle is the first, but I played it last. Just like the rest, the visuals are lovely. You play a princess, who just woke from a deep sleep and discovered that the castle it almost empty. A few fairies and goblins left, but no humans. You need to work your way through the castle, finding items and solving mini-games to free yourself. There is some walking back and forth and most of the mini-games are fairly easy to solve. There are some Hidden Object Scenes that I thought were well done. Some of the mini-games are variations on the same theme (matching items, remembering sequences, picture puzzles). Having said all that, I still loved the game. It is relaxing and beautifully drawn. No, it isn't a challenge to play, but it is wonderfully enjoyable and took me quite a while to finish.

I loved this game!

The Awakening series are great, relaxing games. They are not as complicated as some games, but you will thoroughly enjoy playing this one from beginning to end. The puzzles are fun and you get to go from one beautiful scene to the next as you encounter some interesting characters.

Lovely and charming

I loved the series Awakening. All are graceful, entertaining, and worth to be purchased

Best ever

I have a couple years of constant game play with HO and puzzle games. This series is by far the best I have ever played. It was so nice to have something that was not dark. Had beautiful music that changed constantly and I loved the vast number of puzzles there were and minimal HO scenes. Scenery was gorgeous, graphics great. Very pleasant surprise. I bought all three in the series and was sad to be through them in less than a week.

Enchantingly Beautiful

This is not a standard HO game although there are a few such scenarios. The majority of tasks however are finding items and using them elsewhere interspersed with mini puzzles which are relatively simple (as opposed to perplexing as described above). My favourite is the goblinjongg. That said this is a beautifully crafted game with well done voice overs, bright and clear scenarios, relaxing music and the goblins are delightful especially Boris. If you like fairies, goblins, magic and unicorns this game is for you. It is one of my all time favourites. Thank you Boom Zap.

Fun and challenging

just try it... you wount regret it
