This is the best Mahjong game amongst those available. Nice artistry, I liked the bit of history, the music is subtle and apropos, love the "confucius" proverbs!

Far East Fun

Wow . . . ! With a choice of playing the Dynasty Adventure - which spans Chinese history, beginning with the Xia Period of 2000 BC & ending in the Qing Period in 1912 - or the Classic mode of favorite layouts, this game has hours of fun . . . ! There are all sorts of aids, such as Jokers, magnets & locks & keys, to help you out of tough designs . . . Also, at the end of each game in the Dynasty Adventure, you earn a bit of wisdom - for example, did you know that the best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, & the second best time is today . . . ? So, get this game, by all means, & remember these words to live by - "A clumsy bird that flies early will get to the forest first . . . !"

I've been going down the list of the Mahjong games, trying each one to see if I like them or not. Imo this is the best of all of them. I bought it right after the demo, and then I tried Escape Ancient Japan by the same developers and I bought it, too. They are both really good games. I hope they get more of the same. The tiles are nice and large, you can play the adventure or the classic; I played both. You can choose the backgrounds and the tiles, and there are locks and keys in the adventure game, and it's fun trying to figure out just where the locks and keys are. Then you have joker tiles that allow you to remove all tiles of the same kind at one time, and magnets here and there that you can use to move tiles completely away from a given area. If you don't use the jokers and magnets you get extra points. You're not timed in either game, which I like. I don't like being timed in ANY game. I like to kick back and relax while I'm gaming. As for this game, it's the best Mahjong game I've ever played, and I've already played both the adventure and the classic three times. There are so many different layouts and levels that it can be played over and over and not seem the same to you. I seldom listen to music that games have, but this game has enjoyable music, it's oriental and it's not intrusive at all, so I left it on. I like the other game sounds, too. If you like Mahjong games you'll love this one. Enjoy!

Nice Long Game

A very nicely done Mahjong game. You can choose classic mahjong which has many many boards to choose from. Or Adventure mode which takes you on a dynasty adventure through Chinese history. Tiles are large. Music is nice. No glitches, game ran smoothly. You can play timed or untimed. Very nice. Would recommend.
