Not Understanding Negative Reviews

This version of Monopoly is the best yet! To the people who say they don't like it because it is in a window, and not in full screen, check the settings! Full window is an option. To the people that say that the motion makes them ill - I can certainly understand that. I guess because I am used to 3D games it doesn't bother me at all. Additionally, if you use the full screen option, the movement is more spread out, and not so intense, especially if your screen is on the larger size. I love the animations. They are well-done and completely fluid. One of the best executed casual games I've seen, and I have been playing casual games a long time. I just finished playing the trial. I was the race car, and the computer was the little dog. When it was my turn, the car drove around the board making car sounds, and then breaking to a stop, even with a little smoke coming out of its muffler. The dog ran around the board, my 2-year-old daughter (watching from my lap) laughed every time the dog ran. Very nice touch. Rolling the dice is awesome. You can actually *flick* the dice while they are in air to change the outcome. Another innovative touch. You can make your own "house rules". I remember as a kid, fighting with my sisters and brothers over which house rules we were going to use and which ones we weren't. One that we always played was landing on GO doubled your pay, and so many more - they are all here. This game is versatile, dynamic, eye-candy (unless it makes you nauseated, of course) and it is not sad playing against the computer because all of the tricks up this game's sleeve. You can actually play against 3 different computer players. I haven't tried that yet, and not sure I want to! =) I love being able to make trades with other players. We didn't allow (or even aware of, I think) this when I played as a kid. It can really make the game a lot more strategic and gives you more options to control your destiny. Say, trading one of your properties for one that the comput

Fun with Monopoly

I've never had so much fun with a board game. Thanks for adding this one, it's great. I really don't play many board games, but the instructions were easy to follow.

Monopoly Review

This is a great version of Monopoly! Absolutely wonderful! It is very intuitive but also offers plenty of help to make sure you know what to do. It doesn't take long to get into the flow of the game. I think that this version of Monopoly will be enjoyed by both the occasional player and the hard-core Monopoly fans - like me. I worried that the 3D effects might be distracting or annoying. Instead, I thought that it added to the game and made it seem more like the real board game. I've never written a review for a game, but this one is so awesome that I just had to share it.

Great version of classic board game

Unlike some others I really enjoy the game. I found the hard mode to be very challenging when playing with 4. I love the way the pieces move on the board. I also appreciate the way they kept to the original game. Graphics are terrific as well as the sounds. Really love it!

Sooo much fun

I love this game. I've been playing it for the last 5 hours straight. Unless you have a lot of trouble with motion sickness I can't see that you would have any problems, I didn't.

Fun!

I love this game.. I enjoy this version just as much as I do the real deal. I find this much better than trying to play on a game console. Every game has it's little ticks and things that I don't like but in this case they are not enough to put me off. Fun!

Pretty true to the original board game

A nice update to a familiar game. You are allowed from two to four players and can make all of the players human, though you would have to take turns at the screen to play. You can play with standard rules or select from several customized settings. There is also an option for Sleight of Hand, which allows you to use several tricks once each during the game. You can use trick dice to select a roll from 3-11 to ensure you land on a specific place, which is particularly useful if you are trying to get a monopoly or avoid an expensive property. Property Grab gives you a single "improvement" for free (one house or one hotel). Rent dodge allows you to pay only half of the rent on a property you land on. Each can only be used once, so use them carefully. There are different difficulty levels, which I assume relates to the play of computer players. Easy will make them pushovers when it comes to making deals, while hard makes them more cutthroat. The graphics are quite nice. You can click a button to roll, or pick them up with your mouse and shake them like real dice. I've come to enjoy the battleship going bankrupt just to watch the graphics "sink" the ship. Each piece moves around the board as it would if real. Some hop, some roll, and the dog scampers with sound effects including the jingling of tags on a dog's collar. If the dog wins, it gets up on its hind legs and dances. The animations might not be a good idea for someone who gets dizzy easily, as the board can spin a lot, though the animations can be turned off in the options. If you hate to lose, you can set everything to human and hand yourself the game. You can give yourself all other properties and money while giving nothing in return. Some might call this blasphemy, but others might like this. If you sell a property, though, you should make sure that you sell off the houses first, as they will disappear when sold. There is a lot of clicking to the game, but it remains true to the original board game. Three rolls of doub

Monopoly always a favorite

I loved it. I didn't realize the turning around the board was a problem. That surprised me by some of the reviewers. It's a great game. Playing with a computer is challenging enough. Trying playing in "Hard"mode and see if you don't yell at your screen. Great game!

monoply for everyone

i found this very good as it transfered the american names into english streets and railway stations
