hidden object game

I gave it a good level of challenge because of its difficulty in seeing the objects. I found it boring overall. don't recommend it.

Okay HOS game

I enjoy playing a variety of HO games so gave this one a try. I didn't finish it although I might if I got it on sale/free. The underwater color to all the scenes makes it difficult to find objects especially when they are shown as silhouettes only.

Shows potential, yet...

See, this started off well. I like adventure games, and I like interesting storylines, and the game seemed promising on both account. However, I was quickly turned off by the recurring nonsensical elements of the premise. So, ancient Atlantis had the exact same amenities as 20th century America - including the use of the English language?? Tools behave under water just like they do outside? I'd be willing to believe that the entire "underwater" concept was added at the very end of the game, at which point they merely added a blue hue and some bubbles, and... tadaa! Atlantis! Gameplay-wise, the game repeats a certain pattern in each scene: Find a dozen items, using their silhouette as reference. Find 10 copies of a given item. Find the difference broken pieces of a couple items being shown. One the item is fixed, take it from your inventory and use it on the proper hotspot. Now move on to the next scene. I would only recommend the game if you're a die-hard adventure fan, and have ran out of options.

Suits beginners

One HOS after another. You stay in one scene three times. First to find silhouette items. Second to find x amount of items (ie. 10 fishes) and lastly to find fragments of an item which you will use to move on to the next scene. In all the scenes you need to look for jewels which form part of the amulet which serves as your hint as well. For staying in one scene three times I give it 2.5stars rather than 3. There is a penalty for misclicks where the screen turns dim for a few seconds. The game suits beginners in HOS and FROGs. For advanced players this might seem boring. If you are new to HO give it a go. For experience players there are better games to enjoy.

VERY NICE HOG

About 3 ? hours. Play as Hannah, an archeologist, who travels to Atlantis, followed by a treasure hunter, Wyatt. Game tracks your time and has a map which marks your progress. Subtle background music until the very end. Voice overs can be turned off, but I think the narrator and character voice overs sound natural and pleasant. Hints are replenished by finding hidden jewels within the scene ? can be anywhere from 1 to 4. There are 5 colors of jewels, but you cannot collect a jewel if you already have one that color. Unfortunately, you?re not told ahead of time how many jewels or what colors will be in the scene. HOS are silhouettes and finding the parts of objects, which are then used in the scene to move on to the next one. True, there are objects to find that didn?t exist back then, but this is a game, so I don?t care. The ending was sort of dorky, but we do leave the game knowing there will be a sequel in which Hannah must find Zeus in his temple to save the world from Neptune. Nicely developed game.
