gentle pleasure

I enjoyed the cute animals, especially the bird, and the light note. Sometimes I was frustrated putting things together and the hints were not always helpful. Overall enjoyable and relaxing.

Interesting twist on a Hidden object game

Fun game, nice scenes. Challenge level is very good. Interesting story line that you follow to play the hidden object scenes.

Not sure whether to recommend this or not.

I stumbled across this title when I read a review for another game and Soul Journey was named as a current favorite by the reviewer. Although I don't personally believe in soul travel in any way, shape or form, it was interesting to play it in a game. I've only played the trial so far and am debating whether I'll buy it eventually. I don't think it's good enough to pay half price for it, so I'll probably wait for one of those developer's $2.99 sales or hope it's offered for $2.99 in the COW sale. With that said, I'll say what I liked and didn't like about it. I didn't like anything about this game right away. I thought the graphics looked very old school in its design, like it was from the 90s. It didn't help that the angel looked more like a lounge singer to me with an Elvis pompadour to boot. The music seemed oddly out of place too with its light, breezy style and the whole thing just seemed a little too weird to be taken too seriously. I guess that's what it ultimately is supposed to be because as I played on, I became aware of myself disliking it less. By the time the hour was up, I realized how much this game grew on me. I look for something different from the usual things we see in games today. And this one sure is different. There's no wandering around like you'd do in a normal adventure game, but it has a map to take you to the various locations you are to explore. There are irritating things in this game for sure, like being told to go to a certain place to perform a certain task, only to get there and be told you can't do it yet! You first have to go somewhere else to do something, and then go back to the previous place to finally complete the action. This can be tedious if it's required too many times in the game but so far, I've only seen it done once in the trial. The other irritation was the incredibly small items in the hidden object lists. Not all of them are small, just those where multiples of a single item (like beetles) are listed. Not only are they small, they are so well-blended

Not so great game

Although the story is cute, the puzzles were too difficult and the hidden objects often were too difficult to find. Many would be impossible without the hint button.

Not an impressive game

This game was different than most other hidden object games but it lacked get up and go. It was quite confusing in a number of areas and the hints were not as helpful as they could have been. It was very difficult to maintain any sort of continuity or sequence. The jumping from scene to scene was not so much as the problem as what to do with some of the items once they were found and where to put them. A bad accident left you seeking a second change at life as you must prove yourself worthy by succeeding in tasks by using only your soul and wits. The dialogue from the 'angel' waffled on a bit and the replies from the other characters was not much better, and could have been more to the point of the game. The graphics were probably the best part of the game in as much as they were clear, bright and colourful and the back ground music added somewhat to the comical aspect of the game. The hidden objects were many and varied in difficilty.... some were very easy and others were so hard to find that a hint was needed in more than a few occasions. The objects that needed to be found were located in several different scenes and when assembled were part of another object which had to be positioned correctly in order to continue. Not one of the best games from BF but I reluctantly gave it 3 stars only because I completed it, and I wouldn't really recommend it to any seasoned player.

So, So Game

First big thing I found irritating was the flow isn't real clear. HArd at times to figure out where the game is wanting you to go at points. Finished, but probably wouldn't replay. Probably would only buy if I could get for free if I could do it again.

Stay clear of Boring Hidden object Game

The good news is the graphics were okay, better than the storyline and 'journey". I suppose it would be good as an introduction for a child but I suspect that they would get bored and wonder why commonsense did not work. If the game seemed longer than it was I would not be surprised. Back and forth through a map to collect items you can see while collecting other stuff. You have several 'bodies" to possess and do good deeds, at least I think that was the reason for possession. I feel dumber from having played it.
