Beautiful but Impossible

The graphics are gorgeous, and the gameplay is entertaining. The problem is that you don't accumulate points fast enough to keep up with the difficulty of play. You end up with all the rows/columns frozen, no available moves, and the game wants to you expend "spells" to continue. There's a limit to how many moves you're allowed on each level, too. So you use one of your very few spells to make a move, and if you run out of moves and have to restart the level, you don't get that spell back. Once used, it's gone. Now you have even less chance of completing the level. There's no way to restart a level, either... you have to play it through to the bitter end, using up all your spells. A few tweaks to playability could make this a great game, but as it stands, it's just frustrating.

I've had this game since long before the review system and just saw it listed as the special of the day. It's such a great match 3 game. Full of action and visual effects even for it's time. Beautiful dragon art wallpaper to earn for your computer. With all the newer match 3's out there I've seen and bought I come back to this one time an again to hatch the dragon eggs. I also love that the eggs are not tiny little symbols to try to match but big colorful designs. A truly wonderful classic game most people might have missed for one of the newer games. Bravo to Big Fish for bringing this one around again for newer members to discover! Buy it right away and enjoy!

I love this game. I hope that they make a Dragon 2 SOON!! This is a game I have played over and over. One of my favorite games and I have very many from Big Fish!! I really hope they make a sequel.

Not My Favorite M3

This game operates on the same premise as 'Fairies', where you move the rows and columns to make matches, with the exception that eggs freeze, and columns and rows lock the longer you are in play, making it nearly impossible to make ANY matches. You have to match a certain number of each colored egg, which are gauged along the bottom in very tiny gauges that are hard to see and hard to determine the color. The timer is completely unless it is running low, and then a flashing arrow appears over it. There is a mini-game at the completion of each village along your route that adds some variety.
