For a fella I enjoyed this game

Unlike a previous revewier I am a fella and I really enjoyed this game. The graphics were very good and clear and the dialogue was typical and topical without rambling on. The hidden objects were a mixed bag - whilst searching for 15 items - the first five were dead easy, the next five were harder and the last five or so were rather challenging. The game held my interest all through and although there were not many puzzles or mini games the challenge of the well hidden H.Os. some of which required some interaction made it well worth while.

WOW, I REALLY enjoyed this... very underrated game....

Unexpected Journey, it was! The music was great and relaxing, the theme was interesting and kept me going and the graphics were great. A few items were small in the H0G scenes, yet they didn't inhibit the gameplay IMO. There are MANY very unique and creative uses of storyline and graphics as well as SFX in the game... it takes many twists and turns and is just.... AN EXCELLENT AND TOTALLY UNDER RATED, FUN GAME!!!! I truly was caught unexpected in how much I enjoyed playing Unexpected Journey.... Definitely check it out and see for yourself (despite the majority of low ratings here thus far). 5 STARS

Straightforward Hidden Object

I found this straightforward Hidden Object game from Meridian 93 to be quite feminine so doubt this would appeal to a male audience. The music is light & upbeat but there are no voiceovers & when the music is not playing there are some very good background noises which I liked very much. You can skip each characters dialogue if you read fast. The graphics are good & the scenes are nicely drawn however they are rather cluttered & some of the objects are pretty small. There are some interactive parts in each scene which makes them more interesting. I did find it annoying that the H0 list only contained 4 or 5 items at a time & you had to wait to clear one before another appears on the list. The hint button is a battery & you can search for extra batteries in each scene; it recharges in 30 seconds.

It's alright...

Not one of the best ones out there. The storyline is pretty flat and not at all engaging. Characters not interesting at all. The art is ok, but that's all I can say for it. Length of the game is also mediocre. Long enough that it was worth buying it when it was a Daily Deal at least.

journalist maid?

Hello, while I do enjoy playing this I wonder why a journalist is reduced to cleaning up after people's messes. It seems there are a lot of scenes where she has to clean up before getting down to business. Maybe that's just the way they worded it but I think it would have been better to say something like-I'm sure there's a clue here somewhere...and find things leading to the clue.

An unexpected journey... that you don't have to undertake

Review based upon completion of the game. Well, apparently you are a journalist, and said unexpected journey happens at the beginning when your editor in chief sends you on a cruise for some interviews. The ship is ambushed by pirates (you will only encounter ONE of them during the story), the rest drags along... The Good: + well, considering the game's age, they tried a story + some HO scenes well done + batteries for insta-load of the hint meter The Neutral: o the singer looks like Jennifer Coolidge o static storytelling, no voiceovers The Bad: - TINY objects - story drifts off to mystical areas, which doesn't make sense - hardly any sound - you play the usual servant role (but why do I have to collect pictures on a burning ship?) Bottom Line: I really should stop picking up basic HOGs on Daily Deals.
