Confusing!

I'm at a loss for words. Right off the bat I notice how the text used for dialogue and the hidden objects are just a bit hard to read. Not only are the words in yellow, which doesn't really match the vibe I'm trying to get (i think it should be at least a darker color -- this is a vampire game), but it seems that the font used in the hidden object game is similar to comic sans? Which barely looks professional, ever. (Also, one of the items I was looking for was apparently a 'ladybird', which was really a ladybug. Good thing there are hints, right?) Also, I got stuck within the first ten minutes of the game. After finding the lantern (and the prior objects), I went back down to the basement to find that I needed matches. After scouring the entirety of the mansion area and dragging my cursor around everywhere, I decided to give up. I think this could be a good game. The storyline is a bit unapparent at first, and the text fonts & colors are hard to read, but with some work I think this could do better.

Good HO beginner maybe....

Loaded fine. Music repetitive. Graphics improve with game. HOGs very small at first but also improve as game advances. Story line starts out somewhat interesting, drags on and ends disjointed and dull. Mini games are predictive, easy and IMO slightly a waste of time. Hints are not hints but actually show the location of what you are looking for. For what it's worth I only used 2 and that was only because I got terribly bored of looking for spiders. And this games has many spiders, beetles, cockroaches and flies. For supposedly such a nice castle it is really buggy! On the whole this is not the worst game I ever played but it is boring. Mind numbingly boring by the last third. The end does just that, END. With no real point. If you just want a game with many hog scenes you will like this. It is an easy game with LOTS of HOGs. Some of which do not seem to have anything to do with the continuity of the game.

Great Game

Loved this game. Storyline was great & easy to follow. Lots of hidden objects in each scene. Mini games were average but fun... Hope Big Fish makes other similar vampire Hidden Objects games!!

Meh

I'm usually a fan of these types of games, but... this was just not very good. It was very short and the ending was very abrupt. It also didn't really make a lot of sense. The HOS were so so, but also very repetitive, and required you to find several of the same types of objects over and over in every scene. There were also several items that were *very* obscured and nearly impossible to see without using a hint. The graphics themselves were alright, but... overall, not really a great game. It would have had potential if the story had been better-written and flowed better.

Not very engaging

The story line is so so; visually the game is monotonous and drab. The pro to this game is there are a good deal of hidden object scenes to play, however due to poor graphics, they are not very engaging. Another plus, the hint button recharges quickly, downside: there are no maps or clues given to you outside of the HOS. Another peevish feature of the HOS, in-lieu of fullscreen, it is windowed; this often obscures many objects on the list. I didn't like this game at all, and count myself lucky i paid half price (though I wish I had not purchased it at all).

Worst game ever; honestly

I have been a proud member since 2006, and I have only truly disliked 3 games - and this is one of them. Very short game. Poor storyline. Don't waste your money.
