Visuals were nice, but it was far too easy to win. I never lost a game. This would be a good mahjong game for beginners. But, if you're looking for a challenge, I couldn't recommend this one.
I am an older player, and am Always looking for games that are a pleasure to play. I am happy to have found this gem of a game, and for only $2.99. The graphics and layout are Very clear and crisp. Gameplay is responsive. The layouts are challenging enough, and the Power Ups make polishing off a level achievable. I have played a LOT of Majong games (since the Commodore 64 days) and most have not brought me the enjoyment I have experienced with this version. So, if you want to relax and enjoy a game of Majong that is easy on they eyes, give this one a try. It cost you nothing to try the demo. You might be as plesantly surprized as I.
I really like this mahjong game...the graphics are very easy to see and clear..the tile pictures are something you can focus on..the music is soft..this game has alot more to offer than most mahjong games..worth playing and fun.. as always give it a try..smiles
I like a bit of challenge, even in Mahjong games. In this one, you cannot lose. The board updates anytime you run out of moves, until finally you win the round. There is even a skip button for "hard" levels, although I cannot imagine what that would be. The graphics are clear and easy to see, which is the best thing I can say about this game, and the only reason I lasted 30 minutes. I like mahjong games, but this was a big disappointment.
There are 10 levels with 9 puzzles in each. THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
I kept waiting for the game to get harder, but it never did. There's no way that you can lose any level. This would be a perfect game for a child, but then again, they'd probably get bored with it too!
Gorgeous graphics, colorful and crisp. Good sound. You can choose from 3 backgrounds: jewel, china (classic) and coffee (delicious candies ...). It has 12 chapters, each with 10 steps. Besides the pieces, you also get pairs of scissors (cut two equal pieces), dynamite (explode 2 equal pieces), lightning bolt (shows 2 on the board) and magic wand (shuffles). The problem is that you never lose ...you do not have to worry about clock the right free pieces, ... if not have more pieces to click, and even without weapons, the board shuffles alone. Good for beginners or children.
I never met a Mahjongg game I didn't like and this is no exception..I really loved this Mahjong game. The tiles are easy to see, you have jewels, coffee, or regular Chinese. I never had to use the extra tools. You know how you play a Mahjong board and get to the last match and find that they are on top of each other? It never happens with this game:) I love to play Mahjong to sit and relx and think through things, this is great for this.
Nice clear tiles, easy to distinguish but seemed to be very easy boards. No real challenge. Theme music is easy to listen to but the one thing that really annoyed me is that at the end of each game you had to sit there while it listed all the points you had received then transferred all the points over to the total, line by line. Then waited before the ok button comes up and you can carry in to the next game. You play each game for 3-4 minutes then sit for a minute while scores are added on. I could not just click on the score screen and bypass it like you can normally do. Very frustrating and for that reason alone I would not buy the game.
I did like the new approach with the backgrounds, the tiles are colorful, music is nice...but that's where my "good comments" end. As you progress, the board gains more tiles and you would think that would become more challenging. However, the longest it took me to solve any was a whopping 3:25! I am sorry, but I would not recommend spending your money on this one. Mahjong games are what I cut my baby teeth on when I started gaming. I've played MUCH better ones than this!
