GREAT old style RPG game. Large and well scripted, good challenge and great play. Wish that we'd see more of these kind of games at the BF, as these bring back my early love of computer games. Shades of the old SSI and D&D games of the old DOS computers. The only thing that could be faulted was abit of too much nostaligia in the sound department, but that faded quickly once one got involved in the game. Love to see a whole series based on this world.
This game was like Aveyond, battle foes, save the world, and maybe a little romance too. ;) <3
there is so much to do and it can be a challenge to survive long.
Avernum 4 is a role-playing adventure game. The setting is Avernum, a world of caves beneath the surface world, where you've been exiled to because of something you did on the surface. The world of Avernum is large. Even if you play around the clock, without sleep, it will take a few days to finish. You can play with a full party of four, or as few as one character. I recommend four, because each character can specialize their skills into something different. There are difficulty settings, so if it's too hard or too easy, it can be adjusted to fit your skill level. This is absolutely my favorite game series, and I recommend it highly. The world is very detailed, and the story is incredibly well-written.
This is one of my favorite games on BFG... so much to do, interesting story, and hours upon hours of gameplay. Very underrated. I think Big Fish should get more from this series!
