This game is too dark to have such small hidden items especially in the chapel. The faces and animals were on dark spots that made them difficult to find. It's a good thing there were hints but the hint meter should have been an instant on because the game is very hard to see.
I ENJOYED THE GAME. GREAT STORYLINE. THERE COULD EASILY BE A SEQUEL TO THIS GAME. THE GAME WAS A BIT SHORT I FINISHED IT IN 4 HOURS APPROX. GRAPHICS WERE GOOD YOU CAN LIGHTEN THE SCREEN FROM THE OPTION BOARD. THIS GAME WAS FUN AND I ENJOYED IT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO BEGINNERS AND EXPERTS IT WAS GREAT AND THE MUSIC WAS SO RELAXING.
I cannot believe this game has such poor ratings, it's quite simply the best mixture of hidden objects and puzzles I have ever played! This is a hidden object game about the tragedies Anna Tremblay experiences after publishing a book about her fathers prior involvement with a cult. Good story line but this game is all about the hodge podge mixture of games. I knew it was different right from the beginning when you are tasked with finding listed symbols and then various items whilst being held captive in a cults illusion of captivity. As you found items belonging to Anna's father, the "illusion" of your captivity waned until you were no longer under the cults spell. That's just the beginning, there are objects of importance in some scenes (don't forget to look for them) that shimmer in their environment which will recover any hints that you use. I was so impressed with the variety of HOS, some were just the normal listed items to find within a scene, some hidden objects were written in books and included words, symbols and sketches. The HOS I enjoyed the most was using a lit torch to find several animals and not only was it challenging because of the darkness, but you had to find the animal that was in the same position as the picture, there may be 5 flying bats but the correct pick is the bat with it's wings down not up for example. There were also a ton of mini games or puzzles as well, such as finding the correct animal tracks that match the pictures shown one at a time with 7-8 different tracks being made at the same time. The game I liked the best was one I haven't seen before. The inventory list would give the title of several books in a library scene. You would first choose the category from Science, History, Languages and Mythology, and then search through the bookshelves with a magnifying glass until you found the correct title, and then you had to click on that title. There was another HOS that was similar to that game where you had to find multiple safari animals, 3 elephants 4 giraffes etc.
It seemed to be a promised game but unfortunately didn't meet my expectations. This is the first review where I rate a game low. The story line was confuse, the objects were TOO small. The graphics and music were nice but couldn't enjoy because I was forcing my brain and my eyes to look for the objects. Also it was very short.
This is possibly one of the worst Big Fish games that I have ever played. I found that it had no plot, no direction and no interest. I gave up playing after about 30 minutes. The dialogue was indecisive and vague, the graphics were dark and unclear. The hidden objects were small and unclear and in some cases undetectable with out using a hint which was rather slow to recharge. Not a very inspirational game and definitely a miss for me.
Everything is dark dark dark. No walk through I have played lots of games but never had to use so many hints. You get dropped someplace then you have to find thing, maybe do a puzzle. The things to do are small, black on black mostly. I have never before regretted buying a game. I would give this game a -5 stars if possible.
This is absolutely the worst game I've ever played. Definately not up to Bigfish standerds.
This is quite honestly the single worst HOG I have ever played. The storyline was confusing and bizarre, the objects were to difficult to see, the hint meter offered little help and was slow to recharge, there was way too much dialogue, and it seemed to be translated by non-native english speakers, because some of it made no sense what so ever. I couldn't even make it through the demo. I wouldn't play this game if it were free.
