As an advanced gamer, I found this game to be way too easy. I was constantly waiting for customers to come in the door, tapping my fingers as I watched the timer tick down. I rarely got less than a gold on the first try without using any boosts, and when I did have to replay a silver level, I only had to use the "freeze" boost to keep up. (As a side note, they addressed this complaint in Cake Shop 3.) That being said, it was a fun and graphically pleasing counter cafe game. Anything I disliked about it went along with the "not enough going on" theme: Tips rarely make a difference in achieving gold and money is pointless because you always have enough to keep building the next cafe. It was much longer than the original, which was great, and there were a variety of machines to use. If you're looking for something tough, I would recommend Cake Shop 3 or Burger Shop 2. If you're looking for something easy to medium, this is definitely the game for you.
This is a great, fun, game, although the level of challenge basically does not exist - I read through almost every review before trying&buying this game, and now find it odd that no other reviews made a point of how easy this game is. I'm not good at TM games, and i've been playing for about 2 or 3 hours, and I still am getting gold stars every single time. Fun game to relax with, although if you're looking for a challenging time management game, look somewhere else!
Cake shop 2 was very fun to play.
This one is clicky, but it's fun! Good graphics, nice sound quality Lots of different options Good replay Cute storyline
I spent a lot of time playing this game, so it is exciting!
Very good game. I loooooooooove it very match .
This is one of my favs, I love that even when you finish all the levels you can go back over them to achieve gold :) If you like time management this is one of the best.
This time U have to run Ur Cafe around the city, So many upgrades, new customers, it has helpers like something that make the machine work faster and others. P.S - Demo it first, and then U will know :)
Just like the treat itself.... PLAYING the game, Cake Shop II, is both addictive and SWEET! No calories though, in fact, chances are, you'll burn some calories just through sheer adrenaline keeping up with serving your customers and maintaining accurate orders. I enjoyed the first one, too; the graphics quality has definitely come up a couple notches and the story has shifted somewhat... I'm happy to own both and hope you enjoy them as well. So... Check it out... definitely well worth the full price and a steal at DD ~ LUCKY YOU!! :)
This game is the typical slinging stuff as fast as you can time management game. Open your cake shop, buy new equiptment, and earn money to build bigger shops. Sounds fun right? It is for the first couple hours of game play then it gets mundane. If you like repetition while increasing the challenge element then you will like this game. Even though I typically like time management games, I had buyers remorse after this one and am fighting just to finish the game...just so I can say I did.
