Review is based on demo only, but I liked the story line. It was reasonable and interesting. The puzzles were not unduly difficult and the HO scenes were fun because things had to be found and then used to find something else. Also the game had many other things to do besides the HO's and puzzles. Don't know why developers have this addiction to having us wandering around on rainy nights looking for things, people, or projects, rather than on sunny days; I suppose they call it "ambience" but it sure makes things harder to see, and it doesn't add to the plot at all. Nevertheless, I liked this game because it was unusual, both in its story line and scenery....perhaps there'll be a sunny day when I buy the game and get further into it!
Just finished the game and I must say that it's one of the best CEs released this year. The additional game play was long, about an hour. Lots of achievements and unlimited puzzles. what else can you ask for? Can't wait for the next one.
This was an excellent game. I'm fairly jaded when it comes to casual games. For me, it is a way to unwind from work. Good graphics and music must be a given. For a game to stand out, it needs to have a good storyline and I need to be drawn in and interested in the characters. I want to feel like I'm immersed in the story, and the puzzles are a way to further the storyline. I hate games that have puzzles so hard or long to achieve that I wind up having to use the skip button. Or one's were the story is almost a afterthought and the puzzles and HOGs are the main focus of the game. The only negative I have for the game is that some of the HOGs are very difficult to find. I wish developers would pay attention to the reviews that point out, nobody likes HOGs were it is hard to find the objects. It doesn't make it interesting or challenging, it is just frustrating. But since that was my only complaint in a otherwise very good game, I will give this game five stars. Well done!
I don't know why this game didn't get better reviews. I think it is a well-produced game with good artwork and music. The story is very interesting with a surprise ending, and the story is well developed during game play. The story has an ending, too, in normal game play. The bonus chapter just adds to the story, although it did have a rather abrupt ending. The journal helps in developing the story. The HOS all include IA, and I thought the puzzles were challenging. The HINT button points you in the right direction, so you don't need the SG. There isn't a map, but there also isn't a huge amount of back-and-forth. In addition to the bonus chapter, there is also unlimited HOS and puzzles to play and the usual wallpapers and concept artwork. I found this to be a very enjoyable game. If you don't want to pay the CE price, I highly recommend at least the SE.
The game is very focused on art which right up my alley. The visuals were very beautiful and very clear. The game was very fun and I really like all the puzzles but the game was not very challenging considering I played the expert difficulty. The most challenging part for me was a couple objects in the HOS and it was a little more challenging in the bonus chapter. I breezed through this game in just a few hours. I like those games that take me a least a full day to complete. The storyline was new to me and I really enjoyed guessing what would come next. I always enjoy the journal feature. There is no map which is fine since you never backtrack too far. I really enjoyed the achievements that you can earn while playing. Overall it was a pretty good game and I would recommend it.
I played for the one hour and it was great for me. The grafics and sound was wonderful. The story is about art and missing people as I will not share the whole story and spoil it for you. I think that its not worth the CE price as it is a short game even with the bonus game. As much as I enjoyed it I will wait for the SE. The HOS were clear and some of them you had to find shadowed objects. The mini games were interesting and not so difficult you want to pull your hair out. I really loved it being placed in Italy as the scenery reminds me of the Island of Capri in Italy which I have had the pleasure of visiting in 2009. So if you love far away exotic places and gorgeous scenery with a little Dorian Gray syndrome with the paintings and just plain fun, then this is the game for you. Happy gaming fishies.......
I loved this game and enjoyed every moment I had with the demo version. A good mixture of HOG, puzzles.
Loved this game by the devs that brought us classics like Nightfall Mysteries and Shattered Minds! Please keep them coming looking forward to more fun filled adventures!!
Exciting, fast-paced adventure. I couldn't wait to see what happens next as an artist paints the future. Clear, crisp graphics. Good voice overs. Interactive HOS ? objects may be hidden behind others or objects may need to be combined. Achievements are awarded. Bonus free play of puzzles and HOS (yeah); music player, art gallery. 3 modes of play.
This is a hidden object game. I had to use the hint button to find out what to do next. I liked the graphics. The game has to do with paintings. I would recommend this game.
