I quite liked it, the majority of the game is a visual novel, but it does it well, giving the player an ample amount of choices, well developed characters, and the use of puzzles is very helpful in keeping the game interesting. The sheer amount of branching choices gives the game ample replayability. The music is suprisingly good, setting the mood well and adding greatly to the dramatic tension. The game has a couple of flaws though, the art style varies wildly, and it may not be everyone's cup of tea. The puzzles can be difficult to the point of impossibility without a walkthrough, and at times can get a tad too meta. The story may not be everybody's cup of tea, and while some of the characters are relatively well developed, others are simply skirted over, the protagonist included. Overall, it's a good visual novel, allowing the player a lot of input and replayability.
best...game...EVER!!!! its sooooooooooo fun hsould download it or your out-of-this-world!!!!
Why aren't there more visual novels on BFG? Visual novels are awesome and they focus on storytelling with interesting characters and worlds. Fatal Hearts is an amazing visual novel game with a large variety of fun puzzles at various points. The story has many different branches, making for a new experience every time you play, and there are lots of secrets to discover. Moreover, the characters are three-dimensional with real personality. The protagonist Christina almost becomes a friend as you follow her through a story about werewolves, a vampire, and a series of mysterious murders. The only complaint I have is that some of the puzzles require outside research in order to solve them and a couple of others are immensely difficult, but most of the puzzles are great fun. Buy this game!
I didn't realise this was a visual book, as i only had a hour trial, I got bored with the reading page after page with no puzzles, I wouldn't buy it, it reminded me of a bad japanese cartoon
this game is alot of fun. i love how i can make a different path for myself and find different secrets of everyone throughout the paths. i love how there are different endings and the puzzles are not easy but not hard so it is just right. LOVE IT!
On the earlier comments, someone wrote that there are approximately 16 different outcomes. If you like to read, and want something different then this would be an excellent genre to start. Possible 16 endings? "Wow!"
Best game! But it should have more endings so you can play more. When it was done I was sad.
I don't understand how they could put such crummy animation into a game. Terrible animation, minimal interaction, boring! Literally started falling asleep as I played it!
