For die hard HO fans...

This is a HO when they were not so simple....some said it was boring, I was never bored. I got stuck and have not finished because I was near the end and didn't want to run out of time....that is the biggest frustration with these earlier games! No consideration for NOT wanting to start the entire game over....and limited skip buttons. Some games I have left for a yr or more while stuck and I always go back and finish them....Probably not a game for the newer HO players, games are easier now and more relaxing.

From Demo To All Day Play! Intriguing! Had to Solve!

Is anyone else weary of reading negative reviews just because a game isn't a HOG and lacks the predictable HOG bells and whistles rather than a hearty game challenge? It all started with BFG weekend sale and reading such varied reviews so I tried this little gem of a game--just the demo to see for myself. Like a good book, I couldn't stop and played straight through. This game is defintely more an adventure with a few interactive objects-- and certainly NOT A HOG. Scenes were dark because this young lady is in a coma, and the atmosphere was set accordingly. Game would have been even more awesome had the scenes been brighter and the objects larger, however, storyline was intriguing and puzzles pressed me to go forward--solve, solve, solve! On my feet often times, magnifying glass in one hand and pen and paper in the other. Game is timed where you have to work the scene qucikly with a few interactive objects and then complete puzzles to advance to next Chapter. Puzzles are do-able and rather fun. There are puzzle skip options, however, they are limited, otherwise, the game would be nil and any puzzle can be replayed if skipped or competed--a thoughtful added game bonus! Gameplay is not for relaxation into la-la-land---you have to be qucik and, sometimes, replay chapters if timer runs out. There were a few Chapters I needed to replay and a few with just seconds left and I haven't played a good game like this one in a very long time! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Good game!

I like this game I think it is fun. It has many challenging puzzles. I have played this game many times and I am still not sick of it! I think it is put together well.

good timepass

i enjoyed that games,,,it is easily passed my time

Just my opinion...

One would have to be a HO die-hard to truly enjoy this game. I love HOs but found this one difficult at times. This was one of the first games I had bought back in 2007 so I'm working from memory here. I will admit the graphics are pretty good. Either way, the choice is yours to play. :)

Kind of blah

There were some areas that were really difficult to understand what to do. Not really a hidden object game, because it was find 4 or 5 objects and then do the puzzles. The easier puzzles have skips where as the harder ones have no skips. I spent most of my time (the game is timed) trying to figure out some of the puzzles. this game was not worth the money and I got really bored fast. It is also easy to figure out what happened.

Love this game

This is a HO with a twist that even I figured out!!!! I love this game to play over and over even though I know the ending! Well worth the $$$$$. Relaxing and has excellent story line!

Not enough secrets, too many nightmares

Since I'm more an adventure game fan than a pure HO fan, this game was well-positioned to win my heart. In the end, however, it failed to do so. Gameplay-wise, the game hops through scenes I like to call "adventurettes": a single room you can look at, hunt for "hot spots", and retrieve some specific items that are shown on the side. Those items are then re-used inside the room itself, making each scene a mini-adventure-game. Afterwards, you have to solve a couple traditional puzzles, before accessing the next scene. One big issue I had with the game is that the main character is amnesiac (a popular plot device)... but the game intro shows us a bunch of stuff, which means that we end up knowing MORE stuff than the very character we're playing, and have to suffer through her putting the pieces back together. I suspect the game is a lot more enjoyable if the intro is skipped altogether. And the final nail in the coffin: the endgame is pretty tough. I never use the "Skip puzzle" option, but as I kept running out of time, I ended up skipping a puzzle I had previously succeeded, to get more time for the next one...

Pick a different game

Most scenes were quite dark and about the only way to find hidden items was to click randomly on lumps and hope for the best. Very slow response time at the end of levels; lots of extra clicks needed to move forward in the game. The premise was interesting - a person in a coma having dreams about what happened to her and eventually "solving" her own case - but the game was so badly put together that I only finished it out of stubbornness.

The Nightmare!

the creators could not find a better title for this game! I guess i tried more then 200 different Big Fish Games and i have to say then this one is the worst ever played! The storyline looks really interesting and makes you very curious to try it but, when you get into the game, all the expectations are immediately disappointed...Graphics are terrible, sounds are annoying, puzzles are extremely boring and the way to search for the things you need in HO scenes is really without meaning! And, if all that is not enough, you can understand who is the "aggressor" from the first scene in the presentation. Far away from this game!
