Please note that my ratings reflect the fact that I purchased this game for my kids aged 3-6. They include 1 reader, 1 non-reader and a non-reading, non-verbal autistic child. The best part was that everything was spoken.and would repeat if you clicked on the list again. There were easy objects to find and many that were tricky. They were able to navigate and complete the game independently. The game encouraged them to think outside of the box with clues that were sometimes a play on words or required making a logical deduction. I enjoyed playing it because it is a delightfully clever game.
Hours and hours of fun to be had from I spy Spooky Mansion, excellent for all ages both young and old, the story line is fabulous and the mini games are great to, this game is a mixture of hidden objects, rhymes and puzzles all rolled in to one game, I love how this game speaks aloud the written text, meaning that none reading children under 5 can also enjoy playing. I love the fact that once you have completed the game it doesn't end there, you can continue the game THREE times before you really have completed the game giving you and the whole family HOURS of enjoyment. Absolutly AWESOME Game!
I purchased this for my son, who was 5 at the time. He continues to play through it, time and time again. Lovely to find games for my kids!
I've played this game since I was a little girl. It was one of my favorite computer games growing up and I still even have the disk. When I'm babysitting someone that likes computer games I bring my laptop and play it with them. They love it too! The music and sound effects are great and entertaining. I also am a huge fan of the ISPY books as well so to see them come to life is just awesome! (ISPY spooky mansion was my favorite book of all time ;) )
i spy spooky mansion is the best game ever it may be challing but it is still fun
you can press the hint botten when you get stuck.
I own this game, and I love it! I play it all the time. The Spooky Mansion is fun even though it's geared towards children. I'm over 50 and I enjoy it. It can be challenging at times when you have to use the "flashlight" to look for hidden objects, but that is part of the fun.
This was the HO game that got me started way back when. I bought it for my grandchildren because I enjoyed it so much. I just noticed the trial deluxe version, and I can't wait to play it, so I am hoping that it is everything I remember and more! I have purchased all of the "I Spy" games for my grandkids, and this one was the best, imho.
This is a very cute game and definitely made for kids but the kid in me sure enjoyed playing it too. I loved everything about it, especially watching the animations in the ghost machine as they were being made. Although it's an older game, the graphics are quite good for when it was made and for the targeted audience. The accompanying music is very much in the style of the old television series "The Munsters" and "The Addams Family", so don't expect too much in this game to actually frighten the little ones. I wish computer games like this were available when I was a child as I'd have a blast playing them all the time and learning something too along the way. Don't get to thinking that it's all easy though! I'm an experienced HOG player and am slightly embarrassed to admit that I had to use the hint button on more than one occasion as there are quite a few items that are very well hidden. There are a couple other places where you have to do a matching / association game and it offers a nice diversion from all the HO scenes. You can continue to play these minigames even after you collect the needed items, so that's a fun added bonus for kids who enjoy playing those kinds of games too. Many people think the game is over when you leave the house the first time but there's much more to do and the game actually gives you several hours worth of fun altogether. The last part deals with making the ghosts and after you've seen them disappear, you then have to follow the riddles to find them again. I just wish there were more areas to explore in the house but considering it's made for kids, I know their little attention spans would run out long before the game is over so overall, it's a great game for kids of all ages to enjoy. Just that the bigger kids need to be more flexible with their criticisms of this game and just tap into that place inside where their inner child still resides. One last thing. Some posters in the forums said this game doesn't run well on newer computers. Mine is eight yea
