A GREAT OLD-FASHIONED TIME MANAGEMENT GAME!

Yayyyy! I was so happy to see a regular time management game instead of a sim building game. Gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed playing this one. The music is lively and the graphics are really cute and three dimensional. (Not sure why one reviewer said graphics were "flat") The tutorial is very clear and informative and you certainly don't need to like coffee to play this game. (Which is why another reviewer gave it a poor rating. Not sure I see the logic in that) Anyway, you refer to your Tasks list which tells you what you need to buy to qualify for a gold star rating. There are all sorts of cool upgrades and you get into the swing of things really fast. The only thing bad I can say about this game is the poor storyline. But, thankfully, this is one of those games that doesn't need to rely on the storyline to keep you entertained.

Fantastic game!

A decent TM-dash game is very rare nowadays, and so Jo's Dream might be the best in 2012 so far! I really love this game, it's fast paced and visuals are colorful and appealing! The gameplay is also very addicitng as well as entertaining! Hope to see more games like this in the future...

Finally

Finally another TMG. Graphics are good, music is ok.You serve coffe related items to customers and clean up tables. The upgrades come quickly but the machines work slowly even if you upgrade them. You can hire extra help, but they have issues..just like real people. Customers get upset pretty quickly, so you have to be as fast as the machines allow. I do not drink coffe but at some point I was wondering if that might help..the recipes are probably not totally taken from real life coffe but it might help if you know what an expresso can be mixed with. But they let you know if you serve something wrong. I even got to change the interior design and that is always a plus in my book. Love it, bought it.

GREAT GAME

Finally a good Time management Game. You can upgrade your shop, hire workers, and upgrade the outside. You have timed and relaxed mode (In the timed mode you are able to skip the tutorial in the relaxed mode I have not played yet) this game will not disappoint. A must have!

Great TM game!!!

I played the beta version back in June and have since been waiting for it to come available to purchase. When I saw it advertised today I bought it (but making sure to play the free trial to make sure any changes that may have been made would still make it compatible with my Windows 7). In spite of the two negative reviews, I thought this was a great game! Good concept. Challenging.

High Quality TM - try it for yourself

This is a greeeeat TM that looks wonderful and feels different to other games out there. I chose the "relaxed" option. This is essentially a "staff management" game. Although you begin by fulfilling orders and menial tasks, your role changes as the game progress. TIP: prioritize full upgrading your staff and always pay max salary. Highlights: - wonderful graphics/sound (your music options change as your cafe develops). - no "queues", your cafe feels like a real cafe with some customers going directly to the cashier, some standing at the bar and some sitting. Also, no dragging +++ - no bugs, this game runs smoothly no matter what silly things you do. The coding quality is excellent, even when things get hectic I never misclicked and could always see clearly what was going on - Staff AI is excellent, especially on level 3, they respond to the most urgent tasks and help with everything and if you take over they move seamlessly to something else - Choice of upgrades beyond what is required to progress, good pacing Suggestions for improvement: - an optional goal each day would really help those early levels which feel slow and a little pointless Really love this game. Try it for yourself and give it time to get into it.

If you like Diner Dash you'll love this!

I bought this as soon as my one hour trial was over. It was just a fun, fun, game. I thought the graphics were good, and the sounds were good. I thought they could have made it a little harder, and put more storyline in to break up the last levels, but over all it was just an enjoyable game. If you like Diner Dash this is a little on the easier side, but you'll enjoy it. Was worth the money.

If you love TM Games, then this one is for you!

I was very surprised at reading some of the reviews this game has gotten. I found it to be a fun and challenging game and have just purchased it after my hour trial. If you are a fan of TM games, and enjoy games like Diner Dash and their ilk, than you will love this one! All TM games that I have played require repetitive clicking, as that is how you win the level, so I don't understand the remarks about this from those who have TM games in their like categories. This game had terrific graphics, a decent storyline, and you can purchase different upgrades like a barista who also helps clear the garbage that customers leave behind. It is challenging to get the expert level and I found it to be a lot of fun. We don't get too many good TM games, but this is one I definitely recommend! Have fun TM fans, this one is for you!

People should play this for more than 10 minutes!

I've played this game 3 times from beginning to end - I was a little put off by the general reviews that this game got. Several people said it's hard as there are no staff behind the counter - they didn't play for very long then as you end up with baristas, waitresses, musicians and a courier (for phone orders) and then there's you yourself playing along as another member of staff. I really enjoyed this game although I thought that the items that you need to use should be larger - it gets frustrating when other members of staff are in front of the ice machine and they will not move out of the way. As it becomes frantic later in the game, I stuck to either serving people at the counter or serving food to other clients and the other members of staff got the complicated drinks. I thought the graphics were top rate !. Other people have criticised the thought bubbles with the orders in above people's heads. I set myself a challenge to click on the customer once and remember what they ordered - it adds to the fun ! As a note, I think people should only be able to review games that have played for a full hour as they cannot give an accurate description of the game !x

So much fun!

I've never reviewed a game though I bought over 75. I thought this game was getting a unfair rating. I love time management games. This one had a slowly building level of challenge but not impossibly so. I was disappointed when the trial ended but I am off to buy it!
