A Christmas Classic

The game starts out easy and gets progressively harder. I have played it through from start to finished several times. It's addicting! There are a few levels that are challenging and I spent a few lives before I progressed, but I persevered! If you can't tell by now, I really enjoyed this game.

A Different Holiday Game!

This game offers an unusual twist on match 3-you 'connect the dots', being the same icons, in ALL directions, including doubling-back on an icon to pick up addition icons and make your chain longer, gaining more points. Points are important here, for you need 150K points for gain additional lives. It's easy, fun and the timer is generous. The graphics are crisp and colorful and the music enjoyable. A different holiday treat!

Awesome

As an older adult, I joined this site for this game and I absolutely love it-as a senior it keeps my mind fresh, alert and thinking-I have introduce this game to other seniors and they love it-It took about two months for me to get through the entire game but I continue to play this game at least once every other month to beat my previous score and I never get bored--I hope the developers come out with a new version of this game soon---M3/ Links are my favorite games--TY Big Fish and your developers---keep up the good work

Boring

I am sorry but I found this games very boring, each level seems to be just the same as the last. Certainly no brain power needed. I think this is one for the kids around 5 years old. Shame because I do like match 3 games but not this one.

Chain M3 with a difference

I'm so glad I found this gem. It is a unique take on the chain variation, in that you can link in any direction and even go back on yourself. The large links give you higher points which goes towards extra lives and fills the hammer bonus more quickly. The hammer is the only bonus item and you'll likely need it in later levels! The game starts easy, but later levels can be tricky. If you are unfortunate enough to lose all your lives (ahem) you restart the act you are currently playing, not from the beginning of the game. The story is enjoyable, graphics simple and pleasant.

exellent!!

i really found a great game, love all about it, the best part for me its that i can choose if i want to use help, no bombs that go of all over the board! just a perfect game for me, litle bit sad now since i finish it. enjoy!!

Linkit

love this game. level 4-1 was rough...level 3 is pretty hard too...once I got past level 4-1, I really liked level 4..level 5 has been fun so far too...but 5-6 seems a bit rough.. level 2 has about 21 levels level 3 has about 20 levels level 4 has about 22 levels have fun..

not easy, but fun!

i love this game. It will start off easy and it probably is easy to others but I get stuck. But it is addictive. Give it a try.

Not for Match-3 beginners like me

I fancied a seasonal game and so gave this one a go. It's got unusual and entertaining gameplay as you connect matching Christmas-themed symbols in any direction (up, down, across, diagonal) so long as they're touching. So it's a great game for Match-3 enthusiasts who'll doubtless enjoy this variation. The storyline follows Dickens' famous short novel 'A Christmas Carol', so as you progress you see another short scene from the story. The graphics are deliberately cartoony, colourful and unthreatening. There are no voice-overs or anything sophisticated like that: it's basically a rather dated-looking cartoon-style story with 'Linked' Match-3 at very frequent intervals. The happy music that plays endlessly during the Match-3 games seemed fine to start with, though I found it got pretty tiresome after a few minutes. I liked the gameplay a lot, but alas I'm a beginner at Match-3 and I found the timer on each game became quite challenging very early on. You simply must beat the timer to progress onto the next scene in the story. Also, you're given a certain amount of 'lives' and if you keep failing to beat the timer and lose all your lives then you have to go back to the very beginning of the story and start all over again. Despite trying my utmost over and over again, I never made it past the early rounds, and didn't even get to see the First Ghost! Sorry, but life's too short for me to persevere with this one. I can heartily recommend it to Match-3 enthusiasts who can skip merrily through the game, but if you're new to the genre you'd be better off looking elsewhere first.

Totally Entertaining and Challenging!

This is my favorite Match-3 game of all the ones I've played. Upper levels are really tough to master, Level 5-5 will drive you nuts before you succeed (it can be done)! I have played this game for over two years and still enjoy the challenge it offers. Good graphics, good play, good game.

Unique matching in all directions

A highly entertaining and unique kind of matching game where you draw a line (link) between at least 3 matching icons. And what?s fun is that instead of being limited to just horizontal and vertical matching, you can match in any direction, and double back on yourself, ending up with long chains for bigger bonuses. It took my brain a minute or two to get the hang of it (as instructions are seldom as comprehensive as they can be), and it?s now become one of my favorite kinds of matching games. Start with the normal matching of 3 or 4, but notice that the "string" linking the tiles can go in all directions, including diagonally, and that you can head off in one direction to link, say candy canes, double back, and continue the string in another direction to make a giant match. That's what really tickles your brain and makes this intriguing, but not hard. Your links--matches can swoop through the playing board like a giant "C," "S," or any other shape. Can't do that with your average matching game. There are power-ups to help out if you get stuck, as once in awhile you get that one tile that's in a tricky spot. Each level has a slow timer, but I found the time given sufficient. As to the title of the game, while it started with a condensed review of the book ?A Christmas Carol? about Ebenezer Scrooge, the matching games didn?t seem to have anything to do with the story except for the background artwork. Great holiday entertainment value. I'll still play this after the holidays because of the unusual linking--matching game play.
