A woman and her daughter crash into the woods after a crow flies into their windshield! Then they go into the woods instead of staying on the main road, and meet a woman who is clearly a witch, she makes them some tea and and mom passes out and the witch steals the girl. You will learn that in 1932 some children went missing, could the witch be one of these children? This game is just a standard edition but you are going to want to buy this game! The graphics are crystal clear but dark and eerie, the only complaint I have is that the hint system is very vague and you have to click on exact spots to get inventory items to work. The setting is fairly dark which makes some of the items hard to find, and they hide a lot of items in the close up scenes so be sure to check out the whole zoomed in area. Bravo to the developers for creating a well done SE game worthy of our money.
Collectors Edition quality in a single edition game. A witch has taken your daughter and you have to not only get her back, but help others along the way that have been turned into creatures. Visually is is wonderful, graphics are clear in both the game in general and in the Hidden Object Scenes so its not too hard to find the items. The game is a definite buy for me. Music changes in different areas but so far they are all really cool and creepy. I will buy this tomorrow, but now off to bed.
Only the bad witch knows the answer to that question! You and your daughter are driving when suddenly a raven hits your windshield, causing you to go off the road. Lucky for you " or so you think" off in the distance, through the fog, is an inviting looking cabin. Upon your arrival you are invited in for some nice hot "and spiked" tea! When you come to you are now outside of the cabin and your daughter has been kidnapped! Now for your basic info: there are only 2 game play modes. but let's us remember that this is a standard edition game. The music is very spooky and creepy and can literally send chills up your spine. There are no voice overs so you do have to read the conversations. Personally I found the graphics just fine for this game- well suited. The hidden object scenes are packed full. Almost too much and are interactive. No map or bells and whistles. Just some good old-fashioned game playing! So far I am happy with my game that I got here at the end of the month "and my funds are just about spent" lol! I got to get this game with a promo code. Those are sometimes the best ones!! Now, it's off to finding what that old hag did with my daughter. Hope you have fun too!
Really liked the story line and the graphics, however I like it when the characters talk better than reading the lines. Really interesting story and couldn't wait to save the little girl. Just had to buy this one after playing the intro. Creepy but fun!
A really intriguing mystery. You start with a car crash, but at least it isn't raining and a sinister figure didn't appear. How is an old woman who takes you and your daughter in (albeit for nefarious reasons) still alive (or is she) when she disappeared and supposedly died decades ago? You move through the adventure effortlessly. HOS are wide open and objects (list-based) are easy to find. Puzzles are not difficult and your direction is always forseeable. Game is somewhat linear. There doesn't seem to be a dull moment in the gameplay. The old woman cackles and the crows appear suddenly, adding to the mystery and intrigue. Is she a witch and the crows her minions? Can't wait to find out. I don't understand people who keep complaining about stories that have been done before. Perhaps they would better be served if they sent in their original stories to the developers and see what comes out. I just don't believe there can be that many different stories out there - mostly just different twists and turns with good gameplay is enough for me. But I'm easy.
I just played demo and was scaringly surprised by this game. It is Great!! Graphics are fantastic and scary at times. Storyline is very interesting even though there are no voice overs. It just makes it more fun. HOG are just the right amount of easy and hard. There is always one or to two pieces that are cleverly hidden and that makes it more challenging and fun. Puzzles are not very hard and fun. There are two modes casual and expert. Expert is a just the right amount of a challenge for me to make it interesting and fun. All in all this an excellent game. Definetly a buy for me.
Good story line, not too scary for the younger crowd, and great for a beginner. The beginning was interesting, but the fooling of the mother a bit lame. The HOS were pretty clear, and I really liked the opening player scene with the flashlight going to "play" or "options", etc. That was creative. Each room had a different set of music, so it was kind of a help knowing where you were without a map. Overall, a nice day's gameplay.
Great art and nice music, interesting story, I was hooked from the start. Added to my collection. :)
its so beautiful game i like it so much to win it
Maybe this is yet another story of kidnapping in the woods but if my interest and curiosity continue to be triggered such as they were after i finished the demo, it is an absolute buy for me: the graphics look fine: sure there are some that are even better but if the story is boring, i prefer graphics a bit less perfect with an interesting plot, and this applies. There are a lot of Hidden objects scenes which i am not fond of these days as I have encountered too many over the years but somehow, these were not bad at all and objects were found quickly enough, with a bit of wit, that i did not mind the delay in returning to the game itself. Quite fun and relaxing overall with a spooky atmosphere that was quite entertaining. I hear this is a new developer: Keep it up, this was a lot of fun and I was drawn into the plot at once! I cannot say that for many games with maybe more bells and whistles (although this one was satisfying enough) but with stories so boring and slow moving that one loses interest before the trial is over. I cannot wait to buy it, i am intrigued, I will save that little girl, it will be time well spent, my curiosity and interest are aroused which means it is a deserving game as far as i am concerned, fun to play for certain!
