fun,challenging,GREAT,and especailly AWESOME
just a games to me I like a Challenge.
I hoped for a good play experience. The choice of tiles background and music was good but actual play was awful, no matter what type of play I chose it was hard to find matches. I thought the adventure mode would give me a story and maybe it would have if I'd been able to get past the first level.
I love Mahjongg games, but this one is terrible. The designers were trying to add a 3D look and feel to the boards. All they accomplished was to make the tiles slant badly, making it impossible to see some of the pieces. There is a button that allows you to change your POV, it just doesn't help. And they split the board into two separate looking games, but they are supposed to be worked together. And one of the worst "sins" is that there are tiles hidden by game elements. All in all, not worth the trial.
I have been looking for a Mahjong game for the mac forever it seems. This one is NOT it. The supposed 3d does not work correctly and the 2d is just flat and bad. I had a problem keeping the board from zooming in and out randomly with my mouse, regardless of whether the button was pushed for this or not in options. The music was not soothing as in most mahjong games. I turned it first down, then off. I was always one tile off when picking...not good. And I tried to pick new tiles but they never showed up. I didn't get to the adventure, played the river game and memory. Then I just got too ill feeling with all the weird movement of the board and gave up. I hung in for about 30 minutes, I tried!
I wanted to like this game, but it wasn't fun at all. The game board is tilted, making it hard to see all the tiles. When I tried the 2D option, the tiles were straight, but still it was hard to make matches. The artwork and the music aren't even very good. Save your money.
