Excellent game, very good story - after the avalanche, how to survive? - Amazing cutscenes, like a movie, including the VO - perfect! Very appropriate sound, outstanding graphics, many locations to explore and have fun. Good amount of interactive HOS and you can switch to Match3. New and fun mini games. The game itself has a good level of challenge, even if HOS and mini games are not really difficult. Has no map or journal, but the hint button helps a lot! Highly recommended! Worth the money.
I am simply loving this game and hope there will be like it.... engrossing, immersive, adventure-ish in style and with only enough H0G scenes (ie. not too many/ with alternate match 3) to make it enjoyable. I am approximately 60% finished. So far, I am SO impressed. I sure hope the ending doesn't disappoint as many have in the past.... SO many times I begin with enthusiasm and have to force myself to finish. With PHANTASMAT, I am enticed to finish... in fact I CAN'T STOP PLAYING!!! I am hoping it doesn't take any detours that will change my mind and if not, I would say... HURRY!!! BRING MORE ON!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE
I played the SE version through to completion and really enjoyed it. There was a strong storyline to this one, so even if you figured out what was going on, it was still interesting to see how it was all going to be resolved. The cut scenes were well done and added to the story, and this game had some of the best voice acting I've heard in a game. Some of the scenes were a little creepy but not in a bloody or that grimy-filthy-bugs-all-over-place way, so folks with bug/rat phobias shouldn't be bothered by it. I played it on Vista HP and had no problems with it. I also played the game at its hardest mode - and darn if there weren't sparkles on the HO locations! This is one of those games where there is no map, so you have to do a lot of walking from place to place, though activities are clustered in area segments so it's not really too bad. Hidden object scenes had some interactive items. There was no notebook but various combinations/codes weren't hard to locate. The puzzles themselves weren't especially hard, but they were pretty/interesting to look at. You have a choice of playing HO games or M3 games; I preferred to play HO games so I don't know what the M3 ones looked like. The main title page does provide links to the HO scenes and to the Puzzles, so you can replay them later if you like. This was a very good game and I would recommend it.
loved the first phantasmat game. This one looks as good. I only played the demo then bought. The graphics are great and the music is good. Has voice over. The HOS has 2 modes to play find the items or match 3. The hint button works good if you need it. Tells you what you need to do next. Has a good flow, you do not need to be going all over the place looking for clues. When a area is complete a cute little animal closes off your area. The puzzles are good but not all that hard. ERS did a good job on this game to make it more fun to play. Has a task list of what you need to do.
I just finished and really enjoyed it. Longer than I anticipated, which is okay. I needed help more than I thought I would. Mini games were varied and doable. I liked that I could switch hos with match 3. Also liked that I could go and do all the games and hos after I completed the game.
I was HUGE fan of the initial game and this seemed to have the same wow factor. There was a bit too much running back and forth that seemed pointless but overall was a solid game. however...I have been with Big Fish for many , many years (preferring HOA games) and this is by far the saddest one I have ever played. The story line almost had me in tears. But I am thinking that was the point I guess.
I am a huge fan of Phantasmat and this sequel was well done. The graphics are excellent, character voices very well done and you dont have to play the first one to know the story(but you'll want to play the original after this) A great story about a skier caught in an avalanche and finds a town with lot's of secrets! Beautiful HO's and puzzles. You will want to add this to your collection.
Wonderfully conceived adventure story by ERS in which you try to escape the mountains which have experienced an avalanche. Lengthy game. There is a lot to do and a lot of places to see, but a map and task list guide you to your next actions and tells you what percentage of the game you have completed. Dialogue is written so you can click as fast as you read. Graphics are brilliant. HOS are well defined and there?s no pixel hunting. Puzzles are fairly easy for the very experienced gamer and are skippable. A terrific addition to the Phantasmat games.
I really enjoyed this game! It's quite realistic. All this snow and cold, to find your way in the beginning in the mountains... the graphics are very believable too, and these people you meet who change just a bit every next time you see them... creepy enough, even though the story was clear to me soon enough. The challenge is OK, not too difficult but I'm glad that not every solution is at close hand. Going back and forth is necessary but this also feels realistic, not unnatural or far-fetched to me. Game is a good time playing, too - not too short. So yes, I would recommend this!
This was a really good game. The skiing was really cool, had a great story, music was not annoying. I really enjoyed this game.
