Contrary to what another reviewer said, you can indeed put items back on the conveyor belt..just right click. I've played at least the demo of all three Stand O Food games and IMO this original one is the best. Smoothest gameplay (SOF2 was full of bugs making it virtually unplayable) with simple cartoony graphics and lots of upgrades. You can buy sauces to add to sandwiches and in higher levels the sandwiches get really crazy and huge. There aren't any snacks or sodas in this one, but I actually don't like them (in SOF3) so they aren't missed. There's no cake or lasagna levels but there are salad levels and I like how the colors change in different levels. Nicely done. I've completed the game (bought in 2007) a few times so for those who complain that it's too hard or too frantic at later levels, you have to use the plates wisely and pay attention to the placement of the food on the belts..if you do it right you can figure out which belts to take from leaving your options open later. As well, use right click to put things back. The worst drawback to this game is that I get really hungry for fast food when I play! : )
Easy to get the gist of this game. Fill the orders. You can upgrade your equipment to help you be more efficient. But other than different kinds of orders and managing your equipment purchases, it's the same stuff - get your ingredients in the correct order and fill the customer's order before he loses patience. After a couple hours, it becomes a little boring to keep doing the same thing. Very nice bright graphics, easy to look at. Gets dicey when the customers start piling up because you got something wrong and need a couple second to figure it out.
burger games pizza games cake mania
As another reviewer said, I went in to this game thinking it would be simillar to Burger Shop (which I love) but I was very disappointed. Good Parts: At the start of the game I was very addicted OK Parts: Does kind of get a little frustrating. Customers keep coming and coming and you have to keep making and making. Bad Parts: Super Mario style graphics, Did not like these graphics very much. Unlike Burger Shop, you can't put the burger together in any order, it has to be the correct sequence (bottom bun, filling, top bun) Upgrades cost way too much and at the end of the day, you only ended up making approx. $6 Lunch rush. This part of the game was really frustrating and annoying This game started off fun and then just went downhill. It's a no-go for me.
I decided to play the demo on this game thinking that I would really like it. I adore the game Burger Shop, and this looked like a similar setup. While the games are very similar, I came away from playing this game unhappy and frustrated. I didn't even finish the demo. The object of this game is to fill customer orders using the ingredients provided on multiple conveyer belts. You have to fill orders in the order ingredients are available since some ingredients can get stuck behind others. There is a plate- and you can add additional plates with upgrades- that you can use to set an ingredient aside. You must put the ingredients together in the right order, or if you have the right ingredients in the wrong order, have a carry-out box handy to place everything in. I usually do pretty well with time management games- I don't always get expert on everything, but I can beat most levels pretty easily. I got through the first few levels of this with no problem, but then I started having issues. I think the thing I didn't like was that there was no trash can- at least not that I could see. If it was there, the tutorial didn't point it out. I found that if I accidentally grabbed too many of one ingredient and didn't have a place to put it, that there was absolutely NOTHING I could do. You weren't allowed to put something back on the conveyer belt, and you only had so many plates to put extra ingredients on. The only way out I found was to restart the level. That was it for me. I know there are people out there who enjoyed this game, but it was too frustrating for me to continue with.
This game has a really simple basis in which you build sandwiches and in the first few levels, it takes no more than just clicking the right things with no brain power involved. The good thing about this game though is that as it goes on, you have to do it in a correct sequence or you are pretty much stuck because you can't get at it a certain ingredient for your sandwich. The idea is simple but it really does work and it provides hours of fun.
