Can't get past level 1-9!

As an Expert M3 player I have to say that this one has me stumped at level 9. It's by the same makers of 'Alice and the Magic Gardens', same graphics, music, concept, spiders, and monster, with the exception that I can't beat the monster in this game! I played level 9 six times with no success. It doesn't rate how you are doing against the monster, so there's no level of measure. 'Alice' is one of my favorite games, so I'm disappointed that I can't get through level 9, and they don't let you skip it. If anyone DOES get past the monster in level 9, please write how you did it in a review! Thanks! The color, graphics and music are all wonderful!

I loved this game...but!!!

I don't mind timed games but I want the option of not being timed if I want a relaxing game. Not being able to playing in a relaxing mode was the only reason I wouldn't buy this game. Other than that this game was fun!

Moves slow on my computer

I like Alawar games, and this one is fairly true to form, with colorful graphics and nice animations. However, it annoys me when females are drawn with a physique more suited for a comic book than a family-oriented game. You match island-themed icons, like fruits, flowers, and leaves, reaching the particular goals of the level, and then your bounty is used to purchase improvements to the island. Although it's not a particularly challenging game, it's a happy, soothing one. And I might have considered purchasing it, except that the matching part of the game ran slow on my Vista system. It looked like the matches, explosions, and dropping fruit were running in slow motion. It might be better on your machine.

This is a fun game

I play alot of M3 games, and I really liked this one. The boards are not really large or difficult, like they can be in other M3 games (like levels of Jewel Match or Jewel Quest for example), but there are some interesting elements that make it challenging. One feature is a tile in a bubble that changes from one element to another until you click on it. That helps you make a match you really need/want. Some levels have spiders that spin webs over tiles unless you make a match over them first. The graphics are nice and the music was pleasant. When I finished the game, I was wishing it had been longer. But each section has several levels, so it does take a while to reach the end. It took me a few tries to figure out how to defeat the monster at the bottom of the last board of every section, so here's a tip-- you drop matched tile elements onto it as it's moving back and forth. Not every element damages the monster, so you have to determine which ones are damaging and drop as many as possible onto it to kill it before it steals all your time. The monster's health meter is the green bar underneath its body. This is the kind of game I can play over and over and still find it fun, so it was worth buying for me.
