A pleasant surprise

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much of this game - the simplistic premise (you're on a gaming show where the goal is to find - surprise - objects hidden in cluttered scenes) ensured that there wouldn't much of a storyline. And yet... with many different hi-res scenes, with dozens of different ways to play in them, the game managed to keep me entertained for many, many hours.

Awful and annoying

Maybe I'm jaded because this is an old game and there are so many wonderful hidden object games now, but this one is dreadful. The graphics are murky and blurry, some of the objects are unrecognizable, and the announcer's voice is SO ANNOYING that I just turned the sound down about five minutes into the game. I didn't like this game at all.

ENOUGH TO KEEP YOU PLAYING FOR DAYS

This game has 30 scenes that are used for the normal junk pile hidden object search, as well as from 3 to 5 additional puzzles/hidden object searches based on each scene and selected from 10 types of play based on spinning the wheel. In addition, you can win additional hints and skip coins to avoid some of the puzzles by finding question marks and stars within the scenes. This adds up to a lot of play. The atmosphere of the game is based on a television game show, with spin the wheel and other actions similar to these shows. You play for money and prizes. You will cycle through the 30 locations three times; first for a $1 million grand prize, then for $2 million and finally for $5 million. That is a lot of repetition, but the scenes have lots of hidden objects, many of them tiny and hard to find. This isn't an easy game by any means. The game show host gets a little irritating, so I turned off the sound, but still had to click through his dialog. Still, it held my interest and I played for hours/days to finally get through all 3 cycles. So, lots of hidden objects and puzzles make this game interesting but not too demanding.

funtabulous

awesome options, no houses to build....way fun

Great Fun!

This is a whole new HOG, and I really enjoyed it! Good Parts: What I really loved about this game was that there were so many ways to find hidden objects. There was the classic junkpile and minigames. I really enjoyed most of the minigames, they were great fun and some were very challenging, like Picture Pieces. My favourite game was Riddle. The HOG were challenging. I was coming out with all kinds of naughty words playing them. This game was such a delight to play. I enjoyed every bit of the 35 minutes I played. You start off with 3 hint chips and in the scene you can find more. I really enjoyed this. Skip chips were really useful for the games I did not want to play. Pure game show feel. OK Parts: The game is a little repetitive, so it will be tough to stick it out unless you really enjoy it. Bad Parts: Host guy's voice can be really annoying. Game is timed with no option of turning off. Click penalty is -35 seconds, which is too much. I am full of great things to say about this game. I really enjoyed it. It's one of those simple, no-fuss straight HOG, with no fancy storylines or adventures. My mum and I were completely addicted. Fully recommend it.

hidden object

I liked the game it was very interesting looking for the missing objects

Hidden Object Game

This was the first HOG that I played (was on computer when I bought it), which got me so interested in these type of games. Therefore I was thrilled when able to buy it from BFG. However, having played so many more interesting ones now I just find this quite a second rate pass time, with the scenes rather fuzzy and quite difficult to pick out a lot of the items, even though I know what they look like. Okay for those addicted to HOGS though I have found much better and more interesting ones.

HO with many min-games

This game can be categorised under the HO category but it is more than that. There are several different mini-games and the HO is but one. The others include 'Take 10' (where you have to find 10 items with a common theme), 'spot the difference', 'silhouette' (find shapes on the list), as well as others that you unlock later. In this season you always start with a 'list round' (traditional HO), then you spin a wheel to decide what you play next. You get bonus if you hit the 'sweet spot' when spining the wheel. You also can get 'skip chips' in the HO which you can use to place on the 'spin wheel' if you have a particular aversion to any of the games. This is good as it stops the game from becoming stale and you getting bored and frustrated owing to the fact that you can't complete a particular game to continue. There is VO which for a SE game is good, but the music whilst ok does not really enhance the overall gameplay. The aim of the game is to complete it (that sounds flippant), but in reality there isn't really an aim, just go through the levels and gradually unlock the different mini-games and gain the 'virtual dollars'. Whilst this may detract some who like a HO with a storyline, if you are wanting a traditional HO with a twist (but no storyline), then this should be worthy of consideration (at least try it). I would say that the second season is no worse or better than season one, and if you are thinking of purchasing as a stand-alone, I personally wouldn't as you can purchase the combo-pack for the same price, and with this you get both season one and season two (but obviously not the third installment).
