Beware Of Cheap Imitations

CE GAME JUST COMPLETED On the dangers of reviewing a game on the demo alone: The reviews on this page are the most obvious divide I?ve seen between demo reviewers and completed game reviewers. Those who complain about too much dialogue & too easy puzzles clearly didn?t play the whole game. I?d already written the comments below, for the CE, before I checked out this page, so here?s how it really is. I hope you will try it for yourselves, and I honestly think you?ll be impressed by this game. I thought I was over gushing about the graphics, but here I am again. Wow! This game just looks so professional. But it?s not all about the graphics, or even mostly, because this game is top calibre stuff all the way. As a member of the Order of the Keepers, we have dealt with evil before (Lost Progeny, great game). But this time the world really will end if we don?t stop the evil monster Vlad, one of the creepiest bad guys in HOPA games. He?s after the infamous Pandora?s Box, and in his hands, that means havoc and destruction for at least 500 years. You have a good journal for keeping track and a jump map of different design from the norm. In the beginning there is a lot of cutscenes and dialogue (very well done, but not in sync), as the backstory is laid out for us. Soon enough, we?re on our own though. The game starts out quite easy ? I was quite surprised at the simplicity of the puzzles, having played the other Keepers game - but the surprise was short lived. It soon became the more complex and intriguing game I expected. I enjoyed the HOS, which were interactive and often required more than one action before receiving an object. The graphics on some were not as good as they should have been, but they were interesting and challenging. The puzzles, some new, some old, some unique to the Keepers series, ranged in difficulty, getting harder as they went. The CE offers about an hour?s extra play ? enjoyable story, on a par with the rest of the game. Also

Excellent game!

An interesting and engaging storyline with a really charming spanish setting! Very nice graphics, good soundtrack, many different beautiful locations to explore, great HOS and funny minigames, some really challenging, expecially the final ones! You have a diary and a map not interactive, so not so useful. The bonus chapter offered in the CE is really interesting, almost totally in new areas, and you have achievements and morphing objects! The main game took more then 4 hours to complete in expert mode (hint and skip button not available but you can change it while playing) and ends conclusively so, if you passed by the CE, don't miss this one! Really a great game i enjoyed a lot and I recommend to everybody!

A very enjoyable game!

I decided not to buy the CE but glad i bought this one! Interesting storyline, beautiful graphics, challenging puzzles, some of which were a little different...liked the match 3 one a lot as wasn't expecting it! The HOs were interspersed well throughout the game...I don't like too many, which was fab. Overall...really good and well worth the cost of an SE.

good game and fun

Good fun game to play. You have 35 morphine's to find and you get achievements for not using your hint button on the hos and puzzles. The hint button works good. The HOS are not hard at all the the puzzles can be hard and easy. Has voice over and the graphics are good along with the music. There is a flow to the game but as most of the games are now there is lots of going back and forth. That seems to be the new trend. Good game.

Try it!

I am so glad I downloaded the trial. I bought it 20 mins into it. I am not sure who these devs are but bright excellent graphics. Great story. I had to skip a few mini games but it was a nice enjoyable beautiful game that kept me interested. I played from start to finish because I wanted to keep playing but I felt if I had been away from the game, I could easily figure out what I was doing upon return. Not so, with many other games (even if I love them) they are are almost too complex that I find I have to start the game all over to get back into it and have a whole day to dedicated to finishing it in one sitting so I do not lose momentum or the story. A happy purchase for me!

Loved it

I really loved this one, especially all of the puzzles which were both plentiful and varied. But the storyline, super clear HO scenes and the addition of both morphing objects and achievements were darn good too. The colors were warm with lots of reds and golds. There were some pretty cool people and odd creatures like fiery bulls. There were a ton of locations, the game is quite long with a very good story throughout. The music did become a bit repetitive but turned down it was okay. There are many cut scenes with details of the story which begins with you trying to prevent the opening of Pandora's box. Very good. Really enjoyed this one. I even played the bonus chapter.

another great game

played casual, low sound. map (interactive) and journal. skip/hint fill fast. hints tell you where to go and the map will take where you want to go once you have been there. graphics are great!!!! the HO scenes are not really crowded. you are looking for pandora's box. someone is wanting to open it and destroy civilization and you need to see that it is again locked as it happens.

Great game with lots to do!

The game has a good storyline. There are 3 game modes. I played in Advanced and there are no sparkles. The graphics are great, crisp. The HOS are not cluttered. The mini-games are interesting, some are challenging. You have a journal and an interactive map, allowing you to jump to a location, which is good since there is a lot of to and fro. The hint system is also good. The game is not very long, for me, less than 3 hours, but it's worth the money!

The Keeper kept me!!!! :)

Appealing story? As a Keeper, we are summoned to Spain, to prevent that a mysterious box-artifact is falling in the wrong hands? Wow, gorgeous and very detailed graphics of ancient Seville/ Spain!! 3 modes to choose from. An interactive map, which allows you to jump. Direction giving hint. It took me 4,5 hours to complete the game in the 2nd mode. The ending is conclusively. Lots of slightly interactive hidden object scenes. And really interesting, not too frustrating minigames (HOS approx. 60 %, minigames 40 %). But I regret, that I didn?t play the CE of this game, as there are achievements and morphing objects, which I appreciate so much?. :)

BIG FISH KEEPER

I will admit I liked the CE version better simply because I love finding beyond objects and this version doesn't have them. With that being said, I think this is a great game. The mini games are pretty basic, mostly puzzle pieces to rotated and place, so instead of being frusterated with hard puzzles you can relax and enjoy the whole game, and you can always skip the puzzles without penality. The HOS are slightly interactive, click on the spoon and use the spoon to scoop a gem out of the skeletons eye, and they have done a pretty good job of hiding the items of which you can use the hint button but it does take a while to recharge. You can choose to play in casual mode or all the way to hardcore where you are on your own to figure it out. The story is well done, Pedro gives an artifact to his sister to protect just before the evil sisters of wind, water and fire kill him. You will learn about the Keepers and their fight against evil while roaming the beautiful streets in Spain. This one's worth playing!
