I have just finished playing the complete game including the bonus. I found the graphics stunning and the voice overs and cut scenes well done. The HOG's were fairly standard with some interaction needed. The puzzles were mainly easily solvable but some were more difficult. The storyline was consistent and held my interest to the point where I had to complete the bonus game - something I do not always do. I would recommend that you also do so if you purchase this game. I loved it and recommend that you check it out.
Just had to write a review whilst waiting for full game to D/L. It has amazing graphics, but what really sets it apart are the incredible animations! If these are the games of the future, the more the merrier. A lot of thought and work has gone into this game. The music is fitting, advanced or casual play options, very good interactive HOG scenes, excellent graphics. Spooky, but the more spooky the more I like them. Of all the games out there, this ranks as one of the very best!
Where to start. This game was done with a lot of thought. One definitely needs to get the Collector's Edition because it adds a little extra to the game itself. I bet there is going to be a part 2 to this game. Well the game itself has 2 options in game play, Regular and Expert, i choose Regular. The voice over was tremendously well done. One can actually look around because the voice over will not continue untill you press next, nice choice i think. One also has time to read the verbal without disappearing so quickly. The HOS were cleverly hidden and sometimes a little too hard. The story was done extremely well and i was right into it throughout the whole game. Nice. I did find that in some of the HOS that i needed to click a couple of times on the same object before i got a response. Luckily there is no penalty for clicking. The music fit the game, and some i must say was rather enjoyable to listen to. In the bonus game, i had a problem finding the bones but i backtracked till i found it and was able to complete the game. Over all this is one great game and worth every penny and i simply loved it.
What a fun game. Good music and graphics. Has voice over. The hint button if you need words greats as it tells you want direction to go. The HOS are not that hard and the puzzles are not hard either. Just a fun game for playing.
There were just enough quirky little graphics in the demo at least (which is all I got to play) that the game seemed cute and fun to play. I thought the music and voice overs where pretty decent as well. Storyline seems interesting enough to make you want to keep playing to see where this goes. With so many CE's coming out one after another, unfortunately I can't buy them all so with this one and others, I'll have to wait until the SE's come out and just hope they're good enough. There seems to be a good balance of HOS to adventure and searching around different places. Thumbs up on this one for me!
Witches' Legacy: The Charleston Curse Collector's Edition had me intrigued by the first 5 minutes and hooked in 10. This game utilized all of the elements of needed to make one superior package in the HOG's genre: Unique story line, fine graphics, great sound quality, excellent mini-games that didn't become tedious & some really worked out that ol' gray matter. I purchased the full CE game before I even finished the demo...that doesn't happen often. My fingers are crossed that part two is already in the making...
I just finished the entire game plus bonus content. This is definitely one of my favorites! I love hidden object scenes but not a steady stream of them. This had plenty of both adventure and hidden object. The story kept me involved right to the end and that doesn't happen often:) There are things in this that will give you a giggle and a scare at the same time. Just a lot of fun:) The hint system was so good that I never had to use the SG so I could have waited for the SE but I enjoyed the bonus play so am glad I spent the extra for the CE. The mini games were not so hard that you couldn't do them but did tax my brain a bit. Since the length was better than most I can't find anything I really didn't like about this game.
As you can probably tell from my review ritle,I "LOVED" this game. iv been playing hidden object/puzzle games on big fish games since 2007 and having played 80% of ALL the games listed i feel qualified to give a genuine review on this one. sometimes hidd object games can become quite repetative, ie, you get a list of items, and a scene to find them. usually with a few puzzles thrown in for good measure. But this game is in another league all together. the quality of each scene is beautiful, the sound is eerie, appropriate to the place and not at all annoying. the challenges are just enough for me without having to tear my hair out, or complain there too easy. the general story line is very intriguing and made me want to turn the lights out and follow this one to the very end. its like being inside the witchhes world, literally. Anyone fond of these types of games should fall in love with this one instantly,an those who are new to big fish, well, after playing this demo, iv a feeling you will be hooked for life! when i recently bought a game for my PS2 of a similar type and quality, this pc game was so much like it that i was suprised. simply because the PS2 game cost ?38 more than this pc game. NUFF SAID!!! KEEP EM COMING LIKE THIS ONE BIG FISH GAMES AND I GUARANTEE PEOPLE WILL LOOK NO FURTHER THAN HERE FOR THERE GAMING NEEDS!
I am a HOA junkie and this is my first review comment. This game was so well designed it compelled me to put this up. The graphics are extremely well done, the voice overs great and the puzzles a great mix of easy and difficult. It was well worth paying for the collector's edition. I really liked the story line and hope to see more from this story in the future.
Enjoyed this game very much. Graphics are brilliant. No dark scenes where you can't find anything. Good story line. Extra game just rounds it off nicely.
